This policy explains how the Viewport Studio Chrome extension and its website handle information. The extension's local operation is separate from website analytics and the third-party websites you choose to preview.

Information handled on your device

The extension does not require an account. It does not send your selected URLs, device settings, screenshots or recordings to JamesonB Designs. It contains no advertising, analytics, tracking SDKs or automatic crash-reporting service.

• Selected website: when you click the extension icon, it reads the current tab's URL to offer that website in the workspace. It does not scan your browsing history or monitor all tabs.
• Workspace preferences: it saves the selected URL, custom devices, preview sizes, orientation, mockup style, canvas zoom, theme and optional developer profile URL in Chrome's local extension storage.
• Website access: it requests access to a website when you choose Open website. For an approved hostname, it removes the X-Frame-Options response header from preview subframes only in the Studio tab. It preserves Content-Security-Policy headers and does not change unrelated tabs. Temporary preview rules are removed when that tab closes.
• Screen capture: when you request a screenshot or recording, Chrome asks you to choose a capture surface. The extension processes the selected surface's visible pixels locally. Selecting a different tab, window or screen captures that surface, which may contain personal information. Audio is not recorded.
• Downloads: the extension uses Chrome's download manager to save PNG screenshots, WebM recordings and workspace JSON files that you request. It does not inspect existing download history.
• Workspace sharing: export creates a local file containing the selected website URL and preview settings. The extension does not upload or send that file. You choose whether and with whom to share it.

Websites you preview

Loading a website in a preview makes ordinary network requests directly to that website and its resources. The website and its service providers may receive your IP address, browser information and cookies under their own policies. JamesonB Designs does not receive those requests. Authentication, third-party cookie settings and website security policies may affect previews.

Storage and retention

Saved workspaces and preferences remain in local extension storage until changed, cleared or removed with the extension. Captures and exported files remain in the download location you choose until you delete them. Chrome may retain download records under its own settings.

Reset workspace clears the selected website and previews but keeps custom devices, theme and other preferences. Delete custom devices in Settings. To remove all extension storage, remove the extension from Chrome. Files you exported or copied elsewhere must be deleted separately.

Your choices and deletion

• Allow or decline website access when Chrome asks. Revoke granted website permissions in Chrome's extension settings.
• Start capture only when you choose, cancel the sharing picker, or stop an active recording. Chrome's sharing controls can also end capture.
• Review a workspace export before sharing it, especially if its URL includes private paths or query parameters.
• Remove saved custom devices in Settings, reset the workspace, or uninstall the extension.

Security

Local storage and downloaded files rely on your Chrome profile and operating-system permissions. The extension does not encrypt workspace preferences or exported files. Anyone with access to your profile or computer may be able to view them. Avoid including sensitive information in screenshots, recordings or shared workspace files.

This website and analytics

The website's homepage uses Simple Analytics, as does the StillFrame website, to understand aggregate visits. This website analytics script is separate from the extension and is not included in the extension.

Visiting the homepage can send page-view requests to Simple Analytics. Its service processes technical information from those requests, such as the page address, referral source and browser or device information. Matching the StillFrame website, this script is configured to also count visits from browsers with Do Not Track enabled. Simple Analytics describes its service as cookie-free and without cross-site tracking. See its Do Not Track documentation and privacy policy for current details.

The website has no account system, advertising cookies or contact form. Its hosting provider may process standard request information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.

Sharing and other services

The Share button uses your browser's sharing interface where available. Its fallback lets you copy the site link, open your email application, or visit WhatsApp or Facebook. Those actions are initiated by you and are handled by the chosen service under its own policies.

Google Chrome, the Chrome Web Store, your operating system, email provider and any backup or synchronization service operate under their own policies and settings. See the Google Privacy Policy for Google's practices.

Contacting the publisher

If you email Info@JamesonBDesigns.com, JamesonB Designs receives the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message and attachments, and uses it to respond. Do not send unnecessary private browsing information or captures. The extension does not send support messages automatically.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the extension or website changes. The revised policy will show an updated effective date. New features that handle information differently should be reflected here before release.
